The Buffalo State Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic is a teaching program and the services we offer are provided by student clinicians pursuing their master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, under the careful supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
Because the Buffalo State Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic is a teaching program, our operations closely follow the academic calendar and treatment and evaluations correspond with the fall, spring and summer semesters.
Being a teaching program also means our scheduling and appointment practices are not handled like traditional doctors’ offices or other clinics. Instead, availability is determined by a number of student-driven factors, including class schedule, caseload and specific requirements set forth by our accrediting body, ASHA.
