Shae-Lynn Antonides is a second year Speech-language pathology graduate student. She is interested in adult speech-language pathology, with a focus on degenerative conditions and aphasia, including underlying neuroanatomy and physiological mechanisms. Shae-Lynn is also Canadian.
Kathryn Bean
Master's Research Student
Kathryn Bean is a second-year graduate student who will be graduating in 2026 with a Master of Science in Education, Speech-Language Pathology. She is interested in studying the impact of sleep disturbances in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. The title of her study is The Influence of Sleep on Speech Intensity and Subjective Ratings of Speech in Parkinson’s Disease, or Exploring the Influence of Sleep Disorders on Speech Intensity in Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
Robin Clifford
Master's Research Student
Robin Clifford is a second-year graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology at Buffalo State University. She holds a master’s degree in Vocal Performance and Opera Studies from SUNY Purchase College, which informs her clinical and research interests in voice and neurological communication disorders. Robin is particularly interested in research related to Parkinson’s disease and its effects on voice and communication.
Emily Cirincione Prawel

Emily is a second-year graduate student at Buffalo State University. Their research interests include voice intervention, specifically transgender voice therapy, and intervention for people with Parkinson's disease.
Elsie Herold
Lab Manager
Elsie Herold is a Post Baccalaureate student in the Speech-Language Pathology program at Buffalo State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music education from Buffalo State in the year 2021. Elsie’s research interests include voice and swallowing disorders as it relates to Parkinsons Disease. Elsie's passion for the field is inspired by her grandmother, who was also a speech pathologist.
Aliyah Hodges
Master's Research Student
Aliyah Hodges is a second-year graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology. She currently serves on the Executive Council of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) as Vice President for Northeast Student State Officers. She has presented at national conferences, including the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association(ASHA) Convention and the National Black Association for Speech-Language and Hearing (NBASLH) Annual Conference. She is passionate about empowering and advocating for undergraduate and graduate students in the field.
Lorelai Mucciolo
Undergraduate Research Student
Lorelai Mucciolo is a Sophomore undergrad in the Speech-Language Pathology Bachelors program. Her research interests mainly include speech intensity scaling, specifically as it relates to background noise and Parkinson’s disease. She has been singing for over ten years, and was partially inspired by this passion for the voice when entering the field.
Megan Murray
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Megan is a post-bacc student starting the grad program in Fall 2026. She is interested in helping collect data and learn more about the different domains in speech-language pathology. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a focus on Linguistics and she spent the 2024-2025 school year teaching English in Spain.
Sydney Shuta

Sydney Shuta is a second-year graduate student at Buffalo State University. She is hoping to work with both children and adults in the field, with special interests of motor speech disorders and dysphagia. She is passionate about advocating for clients across the lifespans
Addison Williams
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Addy is a junior in the Speech-Language Pathology program. She is interested in studying voice disorders and dysarthria, as well as disorders like Parkinson's, ALS, and strokes. She is originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and she is the captain of the Buffalo State Women's Soccer team!
Brynlee Worden Kean
Master's Research Student
Brynlee is a second-year speech language pathology graduate student at Buffalo State University. Clinically, Brynlee is interested in treating clients across the lifespan with emphasis on medical aspects of speech and language, as well as participating in related research. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, gardening, reading, and working on home improvement projects.
