Kathryn Bean
Kathryn Bean is a second-year graduate student who will be graduating in 2026 with a Master of Science in Education, Speech-Language Pathology. She is interested in studying the impact of sleep disturbances in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. The title of her study is The Influence of Sleep on Speech Intensity and Subjective Ratings of Speech in Parkinson’s Disease, or Exploring the Influence of Sleep Disorders on Speech Intensity in Individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
Brynlee Worden Kean
Brynlee is a second-year speech language pathology graduate student at Buffalo State University. Clinically, Brynlee is interested in treating clients across the lifespan with emphasis on medical aspects of speech and language, as well as participating in related research. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, gardening, reading, and working on home improvement projects.
Shae-Lynn Antonides
Shae-Lynn Antonides is a second year Speech-language pathology graduate student. She is interested in adult speech-language pathology, with a focus on degenerative conditions and aphasia, including underlying neuroanatomy and physiological mechanisms. Shae-Lynn is also Canadian.
Robin Clifford
Robin Clifford is a second-year graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology at Buffalo State University. She holds a master’s degree in Vocal Performance and Opera Studies from SUNY Purchase College, which informs her clinical and research interests in voice and neurological communication disorders. Robin is particularly interested in research related to Parkinson’s disease and its effects on voice and communication.
Lorelai Mucciolo
Lorelai Mucciolo is a Sophomore undergrad in the Speech-Language Pathology Bachelors program. Her research interests mainly include speech intensity scaling, specifically as it relates to background noise and Parkinson’s disease. She has been singing for over ten years, and was partially inspired by this passion for the voice when entering the field.
Emily Cirincione Prawel
Emily is a second-year graduate student at Buffalo State University. Their research interests include voice intervention, specifically transgender voice therapy, and intervention for people with Parkinson's disease.
Aliyah Hodges
Aliyah Hodges is a second-year graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology. She currently serves on the Executive Council of the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) as Vice President for Northeast Student State Officers. She has presented at national conferences, including the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association(ASHA) Convention and the National Black Association for Speech-Language and Hearing (NBASLH) Annual Conference. She is passionate about empowering and advocating for undergraduate and graduate students in the field.
Sydney Shuta
Sydney Shuta is a second-year graduate student at Buffalo State University. She is hoping to work with both children and adults in the field, with special interests of motor speech disorders and dysphagia. She is passionate about advocating for clients across the lifespans
