Thank You to Our Community Partners

To our our valued community partners, we are grateful for your investment in the future of our profession by providing outstanding pre-externship clinical learning opportunities for our graduate student clinicians. We are especially grateful to the agency administrators whose leadership and support made these placements possible and who guided our students through the onboarding process with care. We also wish to recognize the dedicated speech-language pathologists who generously shared their time, expertise, and passion for clinical education. Their mentorship has provided our students with invaluable opportunities to develop their clinical knowledge and skills while learning to serve the precious children and families on their caseloads with compassion, professionalism, and evidence-based care. Their commitment to teaching is helping shape the next generation of speech-language pathologists, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at SUNY Buffalo State University extends its heartfelt appreciation to the following agencies:
•    Aspire of Western New York
•    Beyond Support Network
•    Bornhava Early Childhood Center
•    Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center
•    CHC Learning Center
•    Diversified Rehab Services
•    Hearing and Speech of WNY
•    OLV Human Services
•    SLC Therapy of WNY
•    The Summit Center

Great Work Continued in Our Clinic

Supervisors and graduate clinicians continued to provide services in our Clinic, serving children and adults under the supervision of our talented adjunct supervisors, Brittany Kovacs and Karen Bunce. Children and adults benefited from the specialized services provided, particularly in the areas of child speech and language and adult cognitive, voice, and gender affirming services. Katy Budin contributed greatly to the success the pre-externship experiences mentioned above as she served as the University Liaison between 10 partner agencies and 19 graduate student clinicians.
